Gisele Budchen Makes Crunchy look like Crazy

Have you read what Gisele Buschen's said in an interview to Harper's Bazaar? You haven't? Well, you need to. Go on ahead. I'll wait.

Finished? OK.

WTF Gisele? W.T.F.

You have an awesome opportunity to spread the crunch as a celebrity, increase awareness about any good ole natural parenting topic you'd like. But, what do we choose to do? We decide to do an interview and claim that breastfeeding should be required by law.

Oh, oh, but that's not all! We also decide to berate mothers everywhere who use formula. Nice.

You could have been an advocate Gisele, instead you're giving crunch a bad name by acting like a radical zealot. Such a waste.

All I can say is wow. Neither of my children were able to beastfeed (my daughter was a 27wk preemie & my son has a CHD). I spent months pumping for each one, but both inevitably ended up on formula (my son was not growing while on breastmilk). I would have preferred they both breastfeed, but sometimes you just don't have a choice. Celebrities can be so unrealistic, someone should interview a regular non-celeb mom for a realistic perspective.

Wow... way to put down a world of other mothers while tooting your own horn Gisele. Aren't you just the best mother and human ever?! I kind of want to throatpunch her a little bit.

Oh, and I especially love her comment about how easy giving birth was for her. ::eyeroll::

Don't you just love it when someone has been a parent for "a minute" , and already they believe that makes them an expert? LOL...

I know what you mean.... it's hard enough trying to justify yourself to your family/friends without people out there making it look "strange". Since when did natural become strange? Since people make us look like a bunch of crazies. Even the term "crunchy" connotes a bit of strangeness IMHO. How about "Biblical" instead? LOL
